Our approach

To create a progressive swimming program with clearly defined levels and a structure which enables our swimmers to develop at their own pace. We aim to celebrate each and every milestone to support the swimmer build on both confidence and ability.

Our team

Michalle Slade

Managing Director with over 20 years of trajectory, Michelle gained her experience in the UK. She is an ASA Club coach, level 2 swimming teacher and Swim England tutor. Given her background and expertise in sports science, Michelle teaches and coaches all levels

Paul Donnelly

Ray Gilburt

A vastly experienced swimming teacher and coach. He is ASA level 2 qualified and has an official certificate in race timekeeping, judging and starter. Ray possesses a background in sports and physical education from the UK and still competes in crossfit and on the rugby field here in Dubai.

With over 20 years of experience in sports; Paul has played and managed football teams in the UK. He is an ASA level 2 qualified teacher, and also a professional sports masseuse and a nutritional advisor. Paul frequently competes locally and around the world triathlon events.

Our teachers and coaches come from a variety of backgrounds and are all qualified ASA from level 2 through to level 4. We have taken the well structured UK ASA swimming program, added more flexibility to allow for the earlier water introduction for children based in the Middle East. Our program accommodates swimmers of all abilities in an inclusive environment to reach their potential in the water!

Mike Price

With over 15 years of experience and as a certified ASA level 3 coach, Mike can often be found looking over the higher levels of our learn to swim program to bolster his squads. Prior to joining us he qualified in ASA level 1 disability teaching, and took great pride in teaching those with physical differences.

Paul Murphy

Originally from Ireland, Paul is a qualified level 2 teacher. Member of the original Aquatix launch team, he is quite familiar with Dubai and the swimming scene. In addition to the excellent work in the L2S program, Paul also enjoys supporting the younger squad members in training

Vann Visto

Originally from The Philippines, Vann is a qualified ASA Level 2 teacher. A former lifeguard and swimming teacher at GEMS Wellington School in Dubai, Vann enjoys teaching students of different age and abilities.

Maan Sapida

Originally from The Philippines, Mann is a qualified ASA Level 2 swimming teacher. Following her qualification, she developed her ability to work with the children in her role as an assistant PE Teacher at Raffles World Academy, Dubai.

David O'Sullivan

He is an ASA Level 2 teacher and coach. Originally from Ireland, David has represented his country in European meets where his chosen event was the 50m and 100m butterfly. New to the Middle East and our youngest coach he has a great relationship with the students.

Sudesh Loku Hettige

Qualified in Sri Lanka as level 1 swim instructor then developed to his ASA level 2 qualification. Among his expertise, Sudesh is a  Parent and tot swimming teacher and holds a Swim America red card, he has been practicing for over 10 years in his native Sri Lanka and the UAE

Jeron Canlas

Originally from the Philippines, Jeron is qualified ASA Level 2 teacher. With over 7 years teaching in the UAE, he is passionate about his work and we regularly positive feedback from parents and children about his lessons

Christian Mantea

Christian has more than 15 years of experience in aquatic teaching, training and coaching. Although very good with the little ones, being a father himself, his passion is in the competitive side. Qualified in his native France and then developed his knowledge further in the UK with ASA Level 1 & 2

Lottie Lucas

Since the age of 3 Lottie has been spending time poolside, she went on to compete nationally in the UK and then more recently in Triathlon racing frequently winning her age group. Before joining our team Lottie in her role as Aquatics Director at GWA School, also managed the school swimming league in Dubai
